Asbestos Consultants to the Environment Limited (ACE) is a fully-independent asbestos laboratory, consultancy and training organisation based in Benfleet, Essex, with branches in Bristol, West Yorkshire, and in Scotland. ACE was founded in 1984 and is one of the UK’s largest, fully independent consultancies, having no ties with any construction or asbestos removal organisation.
ACE, together with its partner organisation PSI, a leading health and safety software developer, make up the AcePSI group.
ROLE:
ACE is a member of the United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association (UKATA) and conducts training across all asbestos categories, from awareness through to licensed operative, supervisor and manager training. We wish to appoint a Training Operations Manager to take charge of our training division and expand the business while at the same time maintaining the high standards currently in place. He or she will also be responsible for ensuring our continued membership of UKATA and/or the Independent Asbestos Training Providers (IATA) which we are currently considering joining.
EXPERIENCE/ ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
Candidates for the position must be mature, experienced asbestos professionals with an air of authority and credibility. They should also be experienced in providing training to all levels, from new recruits to the industry through to engineers, managers and directors from well established asbestos companies, local authorities, housing associations and private enterprise.
BOHS Certified Competent Person (CCP) status is almost imperative for the position, although consideration will be given to exceptional candidates not in possession of this qualification. A recognised training qualification will also be a strong recommendation.
The successful candidate will also be computer literate and proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel. Experience with SharePoint and SalesForce would also be useful.
Salary and benefits are negotiable, in accordance with qualifications and experience.
