The Issue

Forest Environmental Limited provides asbestos removal and environmental services in the UK. They required a refresher training course for its site supervisors, mandatory according to Health & Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines for Asbestos Removal & Ancillary Licensed Contractors.

The Aim

Forest wanted bespoke training focused on enhancing the knowledge of its site supervisors. Essentially, this knowledge was gained through various courses over 12 months. In addition, Forest needed training that prompted site supervisors to come out of their comfort zones, imperatively updating them on current best practices for asbestos removal.

Forest needed a professional and structured procedure to overcome weaknesses that were highlighted in Site Auditor reports. Forest also wanted to demonstrate their commitment to maintaining and renewing their Asbestos Removal License to the HSE by following their guidelines.

The Approach

AcePSI liaised with Forest to identify the strengths and weaknesses of individual participants and developed training needs, specific to the each participant. AcePSI incorporated both theory and practice, including situations encountered by supervisors on site, all the while keeping in mind Forest’s in-house policies and typical work environment.

The Outcome

Forest not only matched HSE and UKATA guidelines, but also internally confirmed a 90% improvement in audit reports. Observing this success, Forest is now committed to AcePSI’s expert trainers and facilities for all of their training needs.
